Merrimack Valley Cardiology is the largest group of Cardiology Specialists in the area. Our group of providers have been providing expertise since 1976. It is our goal to perform high-quality evaluation and management of heart disease in a professional and caring way.
All of our board-certified physicians practice clinical cardiology, specialize in areas such as interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, imaging techniques(nuclear cardiology, echocardiograms or CT angiography), in addition to specific issues such as coronary disease, cholesterol disorders and heart failure.
Our main office is located in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, but we also work at Harvard Vanguard in Chelmsford, MA. LGH/MVC is busy primarily at both campuses of Lowell General Hospital, and perform some tertiary level cardiology work at Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
Our Echocardiographic Lab was the first one in the area to be nationally accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiographic Laboratories. The same is true for our nuclear cardiology stress testing lab, which is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories.
Our office staff has expertise in pacemaker & defibrillator management and cardiovascular imaging. We spend a great deal of time on inpatient and outpatient management of cardiac problems such as heart attack, angina, chest pains, heart failure and rhythm disorders. We perform a large number of angioplasty/stent procedures, pacemaker & defibrillator implantations, peripheral vascular interventions and electrophysiology studies.
We have developed long-standing relationships with all of the major hospitals in Boston to quickly make referrals when needed in order to provide our patients with the best possible care.
Our desire is to provide the most up-to-date cardiovascular services, therefore we do not provide primary care services and prefer to work in conjunction with your primary care physician as consultants.
